We are deeply honored and sincerely grateful to be awarded in these two film categories for our documentary, "Clear Day Thunder: Rescuing the American Chestnut."

We share our heartfelt appreciation to the festival organizers, the judges, and everyone involved in making this event a success. This recognition is not just an honor for our documentary, but a powerful opportunity to share the tragic story of the American chestnut and the inspiring mission to restore it to its native range by citizen scientists, partners, donors, volunteers and our staff.

Our hope is that this film and award will serve as a catalyst for educating the conservation community about this mission, especially here in Chattanooga, which is part of the native range where the American chestnut once thrived.

We are deeply committed to using the art of filmmaking to raise awareness and inspire action for the restoration of the American chestnut. We hope that our documentary encourages and inspires others to join us in this restoration mission.
